New Reader licensed

At a wonderful celebration in Chester Cathedral on Saturday 9th October, Simon Eardley was admitted as a Licensed Lay Minister (Reader) by the Bishop of Chester, Rt. Rev. Mark Tanner.

It was a joyous occasion as we celebrated the study he and his colleagues have done over the past 3 years, and looked forward to what God will being doing through their ministry in the future. As the Bishop of Birkenhead, Rt. Rev. Julie Conalty, said in her address, Jesus promised them Peace, Power and Purpose as they work for Him, proclaiming in word and action the Good News of Jesus Christ.

Simon’s ministry is centred at the parish of Thornton-le-Moors, Ince and Elton, but encompasses the whole of his life, as all disciples of Jesus are called to live for him 24/7.
